About the Labor Center
Launched in March 2023, the UC San Diego Labor Center is one of the youngest in an expanding network of UC centers studying the economic and social impacts of a variety of labor and employment issues in California and beyond. Focused on collaborative work between faculty, students, workers and policy-makers in the greater San Diego and border region, we seek to provide research and educate the next generation of labor and community leaders.
The UC San Diego Labor Center is housed in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning and brings together scholars from many diverse programs, as well as community and labor organizations. Read more about us and who we are, follow our work, and get in touch to learn more and contribute.
