What does the Labor Center do?
- Develop curricula, research publications, community engagement, and public programs
- Strategically partner with workers, labor organizations, policymakers, tribal organizations, and broader San Diego region
- Complement and and coordinate with Labor Centers across the UCs, with our unique relationship to the border region
- Center the wellbeing of workers and their communities
Campus Education
The Labor Center develops educational programs and opportunities for UC San Diego students and communities across the region. This includes courses on labor and community issues, internships, and public events about labor issues and struggles in the larger border region.

Labor Summer Fellowship
The Labor Summer Fellowship brings together young leaders and local labor organizations who share a vision for worker justice and labor rights. Our fellows are matched with local organizations for full-time, paid internships over the course of eight weeks.
